One thing about thanksgiving – you can get real decorations. Even some you can eat later: squashes, pomegranates, apples, etc. Even decorative popcorn (though getting it off the cob can be a challenge). I don’t go in for decorations much. Partly because of storage issues. We have friends who have a box for each major holiday, though. They think carefully about what goes into each box. Not just decorations, but inspirational stuff, etc. I guess if you can fit it in the box, it’s not too much.

I have a difficult time with decorations, because I have a tendency to go overboard, and then I have to store everything. So I kind of stick to Christmas decor for my commitment. I’m thinking that seasonal table runners might be the way to go though- a taste of homemade (even if they’re not) and easy to move if you need to.
