  • “Creativity goes deeper than the “art” sense of the word; it encompasses a whole way of living and being. Gratitude, and recognizing gratitude, can have a powerful effect on our whole lives. When we feel grateful, we feel full- full of love, full of inspiration, full of ideas, and full of creative spirit.”

From The Creative Family by Amanda Blake Soule

Do you find this to be true in your life? How do youremember to be grateful?

Praying at least every day (better for me to pray the hours, which is 4 times a day) keeps me centered. When I’m connected to God I feel grateful for that, and therefore recognized all the blessings in my life. What a great question!

This is a really beautiful quote. It is a wonderful reminder to be grateful for our blessings.

I like this connection between creativity and gratitude. I feel like when I am grateful and when I’m being creative that I feel more ‘present’. More connected, less detached. I’ve tried to start the habit of writing 5 things I’m grateful for every night in my journal (thank you, Oprah). Mostly they are simple things, but it is nice to reserve a couple of minutes to think back over the day and see what was good instead of what was bad. Often times I find myself grateful that I was able to get through a certain difficult circumstance I had that day. It helps me be able to see the Lord’s hand in my life when otherwise it would go unnoticed. Thanks for the inspiration you guys!
